Stop by to get a super with chicken again. Cheese, Spanish rice, pico de gallo, refried beans, sour cream, avocado, and chicken. On a toasted flour tortilla. Took my burrito home like a blonde on her first date. After a hot shower and throw on my favorite bathrobe Opened a cold beer after a long day of work, It's about to get real! Carefully surgical remove the burrito like a plastic surgeon. The flavor, seasonings, consistency and service nothing was compromised. Wolfed down the burrito like an alfa male. Sweat was running down my face, nose running, tears of joy like waterfall. This is fukn awesome! Finished the burrito and down the beer! You guys rock! EBX!

When you are in the Sunset this is the best option for a burrito within miles. This place has some different types of options for different styles of burritos. You can get burritos with fish, french fries , shrimp and tofu. You can also get a burrito that is rice less at great prices.

Generous portions! Everything on the menu is delicious. It's easy to tell if a business is doing well by its clientele. EBX is the only decent fast food (Mexican) takeout in the Parkside/sunset district. Service is reasonably fast even when it's crowded,it's probably best to call your order in & pickup. If you order on site you'll probably have a 20 minute wait if it's busy. There is a counter inside with stools but it's too crowded & loud during lunch/dinner hours for me also a bench by the store window outside ( hard on my butt ). Realizing that it's hard to cook for everybody i do have to say my 4 star rating is because the menu is a little salty for my taste. To be fair to EBX most people probably won't even notice. The cost for a satisfying meal won't break the bank.

Been eating here over a decade. I always get the nor cal burrito. It's massive and flavorful, comes with chips and salsa, salsa verdes the favorite. Don't waste your time or money at underdogs, if you want the real deal come here and I guarantee you won't leave the place hungry, or disappointed Great food , great service.

I've been coming to this Little burrito spot since the late 90's. One of my favorite places cemented in my heart for Bronco style burritos that consist of a choice of protein, beans, avocados, and cheese. My fav is still the shredded chicken w/sauce burrito..so damn juicy in every bite. I've also visited their second location on Divisadero which I think, taste different. I much prefer the bronco burritos at the EBX on Taraval! The ingredients are all the same but I think the cook at the Taraval location cooks with more heart and more flavor lol! Overall, don't change a thing at this location please ever!

I've been coming to the place since I was a kid and they make the best west burritos in the city! El Burrito Express is a great affordable neighborhood spot. It's pretty small with a few counter seats inside and a bench outside but their food is always amazing! I usually get takeout since it's a small place. All the food is fresh and made to order. The portion sizes are pretty big too. I've tried many of their dishes over the years and everything is pretty good. I've especially enjoyed their burritos but El Expresso burrito is what has been keeping me coming back for years! It's a wet burrito topped with an amazing savory red sauce with a small hint of spice, guacamole, pico, and cheese. Inside is your choice of meat, rice and beans. My favorite meats are the salsa verde pork, chili Colorado beef, and carnitas. The flavor of the sauce is amazing and perfect with the rest of the burrito. I've tried to replicate the sauce at home and can never get the taste or texture quite the same. This is definitely sit down and eat, knife and fork meal! And it's soooo good. The burritos also come with homemade tortilla chips and salsa. You can definitely tell the chips are homemade, they're perfectly crispy and made of good tortillas. For the salsas, I prefer the salsa verde. The red salsa is a bit spicy for me. Some of the ladies who work there have been working there since I've been coming here (~15 years). They're quick and efficient and definitely have pro burrito wrapping skills. They don't skimp on the burrito fillings!

Sunset's nice neighborhood taco shop. Love that they have plenty of vegetarian friendly options. The food was also light, and tasty. This is because you can enjoy the food and its flavors without any of the lard. Recommend the el cheese burrito, and their vegetarian menu. The restaurant has a nice little seating row with a TV to chow down your meal. The team even decorated the restaurant for Christmas, which adds to the warmth of this family-run restaurant. Will definitely return when back in the neighborhood. Great job, Feliz Navidad!

Gave EBX another try after many years of hiatus. I'm glad I came back to learn that the food is much better than what I remember. We ordered two plates with various proteins. The first plate was the two tacos. My husband wanted carnitas and chorizo. The other plate was seafood fajita, but I asked for grilled chicken instead of fish. Service was friendly at the takeout counter. It took a bit of time for our order to be ready but it didn't bother me, knowing that the food was cooked to order. After we went home, we opened up our take out containers. There was so much food! More than enough for 3 people. We couldn't even finish in one sitting. Everything tasted good. Only minus one star because my husband said that the carnitas were a little dry and he didn't care for either of the salsa choices. Overall, good value and best Mexican food in the neighborhood!
